Commercial Flooring

Commercial Flooring requires careful analysis to specify the right system for your environment and usage. Important aspects we need to assess include:

  • Will you have any chemicals or even the possibility of chemicals getting onto the floor?
  • Which finish will be the most suitable for your use? Eg: not too busy that it detracts from product displays or makes it difficult to see small dropped objects.
  • What level of slip resistance is required – a key OHS factor in some areas
  • What will the equipment impact be on the floor?
  • How will the floor be cleaned, and with which cleaning products?

Here at Tough Floors, we also assist with project managing the installation and coordinate with other trades to ensure the flooring is completed and cured at the appropriate slot during the entire schedule of work.

Office flooring

Seamless flooring in an office environment can be quite stunning.

Epoxy flooring has long been a popular choice in high traffic areas like reception, the kitchen and in bathrooms; and is increasingly being used in office areas, with carpet reserved for boardrooms.

Apart from the aesthetic appeal of epoxy, it is much easier to maintain and remove stains from than carpet.

We do recommend using a chairmat under office chairs to help reduce the potential for general wear on the floor.

Showroom flooring

Epoxy flooring is used in many showrooms as its durability and safety features make it the best choice for functionality and maintenance.

There are endless choices for finishes which can compliment presentation of your products, from a wide range of flake finishes through to emblazing your brand logo and colours into the design.

What is important is that the flooring choice should provide a beautiful foundation that compliments your fitout, but doesn’t deflect attention away from your products.

Warehouse flooring

When specifying epoxy for a warehouse environment, it’s important that we assess the potential impact that equipment may have on the floor through chemicals, steel wheels, tight turning, etc caused by forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks and heavy machinery and mechanical works.

The ‘fit for purpose’ products we recommend will provide stability under foot, meet OH&S considerations and factor in achieving functionality and durability and reliability for many years to come.

We also factor in consideration for line markings, slip resistance levels and chemical resistance. For areas which may experience impact, we use Kevlar products that spread the load of impact resistance.

Here are a few of the many commercial clients who have engaged us to transform their premises with stunning epoxy flooring.

Tough Floors is your trusted epoxy flooring installers in Brisbane, Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast.
